Erin Wysong, LPC-Supervisor, CSAT, CPTT

Erin Wysong-Warren

Erin Wysong began a professional career in finance, after graduating in 1990 from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. After a series of events that lead her down a path of personal development, she returned to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from The University of North Texas, where she graduated with distinction. Erin started practice in the mental health field in 2012, at a well-respected poly-addiction residential treatment center, working with a multidisciplinary team of leading experts in trauma, addiction, and intimacy disorders.

After joining a private counseling practice in 2013, Erin became a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT). She came to know Dr. Ken Adams while receiving CSAT supervision from him. Erin started referring clients to Dr. Adams’ Mother Enmeshed Men (MEM) workshops in 2014, and since then has been working collaboratively with him to integrate enmeshment recovery into her work with men, women, and couples.

Since 2015, Erin has had her own private practice, where she is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. To further her expertise in the treatment of trauma and addictions, Erin extensively trained with Pia Mellody, Senior Clinical Advisor of The Meadows, for treating family of origin developmental and relational trauma. She utilizes Somatic Experiencing®, a method of treating trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine, in addition to EMDR, to address complex traumas. Erin has trained with sex addiction pioneer Dr. Patrick Carnes, and in addition to earning accreditation as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), she is also accredited as a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Twelfth Step Ministry, at the Benton Center for Spiritual Development in Dallas, TX.

Erin’s training and experience allows her to focus attention on helping people to recover from relational trauma and neglect, sexual compulsion and addiction, betrayal trauma, and enmeshment. She possesses tremendous self-awareness, as well as enormous compassion, sensitivity, and interest in others.

Erin is fervent about working with women to find freedom from inappropriate guilt and loyalties in all of their relationships, so that they may experience emancipation, and can reclaim a more authentic, empowered, and passionate self.
